How Much Does a Daikoku JDM Tour Cost?

A seat on a shared Daikoku tour from Tokyo starts at $32 in a van, and most seats in a tuned JDM car cost between about $94 and $121. A private car for up to three people starts at $214. Here is what changes as the price goes up, and what each ticket leaves out.

Updated September 2026

Daikoku PA itself costs nothing. It is a public parking area on the Bayshore Route, and nobody charges admission to the car meet. What you pay for is the ride, because the only way in is by vehicle from the expressway. So the price of a Daikoku tour comes down to what you ride in, how many other people share it, and where you are collected.

The main differences

  • A good all-round choice: the Fast & Furious Tokyo Drift III Experience, from $107 per person for a seat in a tuned car, rated 4.8/5 from more than 5,600 reviews.
  • The cheapest seats are in a van. Around $30 to $60 gets you to Daikoku in a van or shuttle. From about $75 you ride in a modified JDM car.
  • Most shared tours in a tuned car cost about the same. Between about $94 and $121, most follow a similar route and spend roughly an hour at Daikoku, so choose on the review record and where the tour starts.
  • For three people, a private GT-R can work out cheaper per person than a shared seat in a tuned car. It costs $214 for up to three, about $71 each.
  • Operators handle a closed Daikoku differently. Some refund you, others take you to another car spot instead, so check before you book a Friday or Saturday night.

Which Daikoku tour should you book?

Most Daikoku tours are shared rides in modified cars at around $100, and one of them has a far longer review record than any other.

A strong all-round option

The Fast & Furious Tokyo Drift III Experience costs from $107 per person and is rated 4.8/5 from more than 5,600 reviews. You ride in one of the operator’s modified cars, which include Skylines, Evos, a Civic Type R and several GT-Rs, and each driver takes about three passengers. The night lasts about three hours: an hour at Daikoku, half an hour at A-PIT Autobacs Shinonome and a stop at Tokyo Tower, with drop-off at your accommodation in central Tokyo afterwards. Fuel and tolls are included. The listing doesn’t promise a particular car.

The same company, Tokyo Turismo, sells a seat in a van to Daikoku for $32 (below). The $75 difference between the two is mostly the car.

Book this if you want to ride in a modified car as well as see the meet, and a long review record reassures you.

Skip it if you want one particular car, or you need collecting from your hotel: the tour starts from a meeting point.

If you only want to see the meet

The Go Daikoku PA Fast & Furious 3 Sports Car Meet costs from $32 per person and is rated 4.6/5 from more than 500 reviews. It is a three-hour trip from a meeting point in Odaiba to Daikoku and Rainbow Bridge in a Toyota Alphard, Vellfire or Hiace, ending at the Fujisoft Building in Akihabara. The operator moves some guests into a sports car “depending on availability on the day”, so treat that as a bonus.

It suits you if the meet is what you came for and the drive there is just transport. If riding in a JDM car is part of the reason for going, spend the extra $75 on the tour above.

Hotel pickup, and a car to yourselves

The JDM Car Meetup Daikoku PA Tour with Hotel Pickup, run by Bravo Fuji Tours, costs from $94 per person and is rated 4.8/5 from more than 450 reviews. It is private: a driver collects your party from your hotel in a comfortable car and spends about four hours on Daikoku, Umihotaru, A-PIT Autobacs and Rainbow Bridge, returning you to your hotel afterwards. The modified cars are the ones you meet at Daikoku; the listing doesn’t describe the car you travel in as one of them. The price is per person, so four people pay $376.

Best for families and small groups who would rather not find a meeting point at night.

If there are three of you

The Daikoku JDM Car Meet in the Famous 303 600HP GT-R R35 costs $214 for up to three people and is rated 4.7/5 from more than 140 reviews. The owner of a Tokyo tuning garage, 303GaRage, hosts the tour in his 600hp KUHL-tuned GT-R or a 700hp Nismo GT-R, for two and a half hours with about an hour each at Daikoku and Umihotaru. Split three ways that is about $71 each. Two people pay $107 each, the same as two seats on the Tokyo Drift III tour above.

This is the one for a group of two or three who want the car to be the point of the night. On your own you pay the full $214, and you need to make your own way to the garage, where the tour starts and ends.

If a particular car matters

Most shared tours list a fleet and don’t promise which car you get. The ones that name the car cost more:

If you would be happy in whichever modified car turns up, the Tokyo Drift III tour gives you that for much less.

What does the extra money get you?

Mostly a better car with fewer people in it. The rest of the night changes much less than the price does.

Around $30 to $60: a seat in a van or shuttle. You see the same meet from an ordinary vehicle. The Tokyo Drift: Daikoku PA Supreme Car Experience (from $56, 4.7/5 from more than 450 reviews) says plainly that it is not a ride in a JDM car.

Around $75 to $125: a seat in a modified car. Most Daikoku tours sit here: about three hours, roughly an hour at Daikoku, and a stop or two at A-PIT Autobacs, Rainbow Bridge or Tokyo Tower. If you want to be sure of avoiding a van, the JDM Night Run in Evo, WRX & Skyline to Daikoku (from $113, 4.9/5 from more than 950 reviews) uses manual Evos, WRX STIs and Skylines only.

Around $155 to $190 per person: a named car, or your group alone. Either the listing promises the car, as on the GT-R and Supra tours above, or the car is yours: the Private JDM Tour: R34, R35, Supra, Silvia & RX-7 (from $170, 5.0/5 from 63 reviews) collects you from your hotel.

About $180 to $550 for a whole private car. These are priced per group, usually for up to three people, and they are covered in the private tours section below.

The real difference between the $32 van and the $107 modified car is how you travel, not what you see: the same company runs both, and both give you about an hour at Daikoku.

Other Experiences

Other experiences you might enjoy

Your night runs through Daikoku PA, the Wangan/Bayshore Route, Rainbow Bridge and A-PIT Autobacs, ending near Tokyo Tower or Shibuya Crossing — here are other Tokyo and Yokohama experiences worth pairing with it:

What stays the same whatever you pay?

Paying more doesn’t get you longer at Daikoku or more cars in the car park. It changes what you ride in, who shares it, and where you are collected.

  • Your time at Daikoku. Most tours give you about an hour there, and that includes both the $32 van seat and the $549 private R34.
  • The turnout. Nobody organises the meet. The night of the week and the weather decide how many cars appear, and our guide to the best time to visit Daikoku PA explains which nights are busiest.
  • Cancellation. Every tour here offers free cancellation, typically up to 24 hours before the start.
  • Who drives. On every tour here you are a passenger; the operator’s driver is at the wheel.

Between about $94 and $121 the price tells you very little. These tours follow much the same route and give you much the same hour at Daikoku, so the review record, the meeting point and what the operator does if Daikoku is closed matter more than a few dollars. Three of them come from one operator, Redline Tokyo, at the same $98 and with the same 45 minutes at Daikoku. They differ in the other stops: two call at the Liberty Walk showroom, and the third goes on to Umihotaru.

Newer listings with fewer than 20 reviews aren’t in this table. There are many of them, mostly private cars, and a rating from a handful of reviews tells you little yet.

What does a private Daikoku tour cost?

A private tour keeps the car for your group. Some are priced per person and some per group, so the number of people going makes a big difference to the total.

For a group price, divide by the number of people going. The 303GaRage GT-R at $214 is about $71 each for three and $107 each for two. The R34 Skyline Night Private JDM Daikoku Experience at $284 is about $95 each for three. The R34 Daikoku PA Private Tour at $442 is about $147 each for three, and the 700HP R34 GT-R tour is $183 each. For three people, then, a private tuned car can cost less per head than a shared seat. For one person travelling alone, the group price is the price.

The per-person private tours work the other way: four people pay four fares. The Private JDM R34 Skyline Drive & Daikoku PA Car Meet (5.0/5 from more than 220 reviews) is priced at $284 per person, so check the total before comparing it with the group-priced R34 tours above.

What happens if Daikoku is closed?

Daikoku’s entrance can be closed to incoming traffic, most often on busy Friday and Saturday evenings, and every operator handles it differently. The price doesn’t tell you which kind you have booked, so read the listing.

The operator of the R34 Daikoku PA Private Tour suggests its 4:30pm start at weekends if reaching Daikoku matters most.

What the price doesn’t cover

  • Getting to the start. Most shared tours start from a meeting point in Shibuya, Akihabara or Odaiba rather than your hotel, and some drop you at your hotel at the end. The table shows which.
  • Food and shopping. Plan to eat before you go: meals and drinks are generally extra, and so is anything you buy at A-PIT Autobacs. Tokyo Tower is a photo stop, so a ticket to the observation deck is extra too.
  • A better car on a multi-option listing. The from-price is the cheapest option, which is sometimes a van. On the Daikoku & Tokyo Drift Vibes tour the $107 option is a van and the sedan costs more; the Evo, WRX & More night tour sells a sports car, a Hiace and a private Alphard as separate options. Check which vehicle the option you pick includes.
  • Your date. The from-price is for the cheapest date on sale. Prices may vary depending on the day you pick.

Is it worth paying more?

For most first-time visitors, no: a seat in a modified car at around $100 to $110 gives you the ride, the meet and a well-known guide team, and the main pick has the longest review record by far. Paying more makes sense when a particular car is the reason you’re going, or when there are two or three of you and a private car costs about the same per head. If the meet is all you want, the $32 van gets you there.

At the starting price, two people pay $214 and four pay $428 on the Fast & Furious Tokyo Drift III Experience.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a Daikoku PA tour cost? Shared tours from Tokyo start at about $32 per person for a seat in a van, and most seats in a modified JDM car cost between about $94 and $121. Private tours for up to three people start at about $214 for the group, and a private R34 GT-R costs about $549.

Is Daikoku PA free to visit? Yes. Daikoku PA is a public parking area on the expressway and the car meet has no ticket. You can only reach it by vehicle, so the cost of a tour is the cost of the ride.

Is a private Daikoku tour worth it? For two or three people it can cost about the same per head as a shared seat. A private 600hp GT-R for up to three is $214, about $71 each for three. For one person, a shared seat is much cheaper.

Do cheap Daikoku tours use JDM cars? Usually not. Tours at around $30 to $60 use vans or shuttles, and some offer a sports car only as a paid upgrade or when one is free on the night. Seats in modified cars start at around $75.

Does paying more get you longer at Daikoku? No. Most tours spend about an hour at Daikoku, and the most expensive private tours are no exception. Paying more changes the car, the number of people sharing it and where you are picked up.
